Renovation of Shri Pramod Mahajan Udyan in Powai to Begin Soon After Site Inspection

Renovation work at Shri Pramod Mahajan Udyan, a key recreational space in the Hiranandani area of Powai, is expected to begin soon following a detailed site inspection conducted in response to residents’ concerns over the deteriorating condition of the garden and its forest walking track.


The inspection was organised on the initiative of Corporator Srinivas Tripathi, after locals raised repeated complaints regarding damaged pathways, poor maintenance, and the need for comprehensive upgradation of garden facilities.


Garden Department Reviews Required Development Work



The site visit was carried out in the presence of Snehal Dalvi, Officer from the Garden Department, who closely examined the condition of the walking track, internal pathways, landscaping, and basic amenities. During the inspection, detailed discussions were held with residents and local representatives regarding necessary improvements.


Officials assured that the pending renovation and development works would be taken up in the near future, aiming to enhance safety, accessibility, and overall experience for visitors.



Community Leaders and Residents Participate



The inspection saw active participation from several community leaders and local activists. BJP Ward 122 President Ram Surat Singh was present along with party activists Komal Babu, Satyapal Malik, and Vilas Sohni. Rajendra Jadhav, a prominent social worker from the Hiranandani area, also joined the inspection along with several local residents.



Residents Welcome Assurance of Upgrades



Residents welcomed the assurance given by civic officials and expressed hope that the renovated Shri Pramod Mahajan Udyan would soon provide improved facilities for walking, recreation, and leisure, especially for senior citizens, morning walkers, and families.



Importance of Green Spaces in Powai



The visit highlighted the collective efforts of public representatives, civic officials, and citizens to ensure that Powai’s green spaces remain well-maintained and accessible. A large number of officials and local citizens were present during the inspection, underlining the importance of the garden as a vital green lung for the Hiranandani–Powai locality.
