Powai, Mumbai | Vijayadashami News:
The festival of Vijayadashami was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Powai, with a series of traditional and cultural programmes including Shastrapujan, a keynote address, and speeches by special guests. As in previous years, the celebration witnessed active participation from volunteers and members of the local community.
Volunteers attended the event in full uniform, while residents from across Powai joined the celebrations, reflecting the festive spirit and cultural unity of the area.
Strong Community Response in Powai Nagar
Sharing details of the event, Hemant Parashar, General Secretary of Powai Nagar, said that Powai Nagar falls under the Ghatkopar area and that the Vijayadashami programme received an overwhelming response from local residents. He added that the enthusiasm extended beyond the festival and aligned with preparations for the upcoming Sangh centenary year.
Keynote Address Highlights Sangh’s Centenary Vision
The keynote address was delivered by Ramlal, who spoke about the organisation’s goals and vision during its centenary year. He stated that the Sangh aims to organise one crore Hindu gatherings and reach out to 15 lakh Hindu families across the country.
Emphasising the values of unity and equality, Ramlal said the Sangh does not tolerate discrimination of any kind—whether based on religion, caste, language, or region. He noted that a true understanding of the Sangh’s philosophy comes through active participation and personal experience.
Shakhas as Foundation of Nation-Building
Ramlal highlighted the integrity and resilience of the organisation, stating that it has neither bowed down nor broken over the years. He attributed this strength to the dedication of swayamsevaks, who regularly attend shakhas and remain committed to the service of Bharatmata.
He described the shakha as a “laboratory for developing individuals,” where social divisions have no place and where the values of discipline, harmony, and nation-building are instilled. According to him, this system has inspired society and created a strong network of volunteers ready to serve the nation selflessly.
Call for Unity and Participation
Concluding his address, Ramlal said that the ultimate aim of the organisation is to ensure that the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” resonates not only within the organisation but across the world. He appealed to citizens and well-wishers to actively participate in this mission and contribute towards national unity and cultural pride.
The Vijayadashami celebration in Powai once again highlighted the area’s strong community spirit and commitment to cultural traditions.
