Powai, Mumbai | Anant Chaturdashi:
On the auspicious occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, the Uttar Bharatiya Sangh organised a grand service desk for Ganesh Visarjan devotees in Powai, providing food, drinking water, and essential assistance to thousands of devotees heading towards Powai Lake for immersion.
The initiative was led by Sanjay Singh, Vice President of Uttar Bharatiya Sangh, and, as in previous years, the service desk was set up at Powai Plaza near Tanishq Jewellers. The facility proved to be a major support point for devotees during the Ganesh immersion procession.
Floral Tribute and Inauguration
The programme began with floral tributes to the statue of Late R. N. Singh. Santosh R. N. Singh, the chief guest, expressed his gratitude to the devotees and actively participated in the distribution of food and refreshments.
Dignitaries Participate in Seva
Several prominent political leaders, social workers, and community representatives were present at the event. Notable attendees included former MPs Manoj Kotak and Poonam Mahajan, Amarjeet Singh (Mumbai BJP Vice President), Jaiprakash Singh (Shiv Sena leader), Brijmohan Pandey (senior journalist), and Rajesh Singh (National Spokesperson, Uttar Bharatiya Sabha), along with many other dignitaries and volunteers.
All the guests actively participated in serving food and assisting devotees, reflecting the spirit of seva (selfless service) during Ganesh Visarjan.
“Service to Humanity Is Service to God”
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Singh said that serving Ganesh devotees through the service desk gave him immense peace and positive energy. He emphasised that service to humanity is service to God and reaffirmed his commitment to working for social welfare throughout his life.
He also highlighted the various social and community initiatives of the Uttar Bharatiya Sangh and appealed to citizens to join the organisation in its mission of public service.
Guests were welcomed with Ganesh-emblazoned stoles, and heartfelt thanks were extended to all devotees and volunteers who contributed to the successful organisation of the service initiative.
